Halo 2 is there. Unfortunately only on XBox. In the Netherlands, but I guess in other countries as well, Microsoft released a special Halo 2 pack: it’s the Crystal XBox (it’s transparant, hence its name), with 2 crystal controllers, Halo 2 and a two months trial subscription to XBox-live. All together for only 199,99. Click on the post-title to go to the Dutch site with details.
Bejeweled 2 Deluxe has a trial period of 60 minutes. I assumed it was 60 minutes PLAYtime, but in fact they are 60 minutes of RUNtime, so doing nothing in the game, or looking at your terrific highscore means the clock is still ticking. That sucks. I complained about it with the guys of Popcap. I played 4 games and my playtime is over. And I even haven’t tried endless- and puzzle-mode yet. Uninstall and install again does not work either. If someone has a solution, I would be glad to hear about it.
If you like Bejeweled, than you’re sure gonna like Bejeweled 2. I just played my very first game, I’m addicted already. Very nice graphics, very nice sound and voice over, and a little change in gameplay. It’s just great. Were’s my creditcard?
My goodness. Doesn’t everybody in the world knows Microsoft Office? Why in the world would Microsoft dedicate a website to giving people the Office experience? Okay, it’s a Dutch site, and perhaps Microsoft thinks Dutch people don’t know Office. Guess they did not do their homework very well. I can’t think of ONE single person in my family, friends and their friends or colleagues that does not know Microsoft Office.
Microsoft released version 3.0 of their installer. It is part of the SP2 for Windows XP, but it can be downloaded seperately for systems running on pristine XP or SP1, or other versions of Windows (2000 and 2003). Get it here.
Speaking of recognizing when I’m annoyed. I was annoyed tonight, with something W did. We got in an argument so loud, that my throat hurts now! But…I survived, she survived, we survived. That’s the lesson learned this time, because we both said what we needed to say. It’s out of our system, and we’re cool now.
My goodness, it works. Now where do I find some cough-sirup?
After installing and starting it, it gives an error message that you cannot use a Netscape Navigator Java plug-in in Internet Explorer, and I should download the proper plugin for Internet Explorer. What F*CKING Internet Explorer? I’m starting FireFox, remember???
Back to 0.9 now and things are fine again.
Update (16:33): I uninstalled 0.9, uninstalled Java 1.4 SDK and 1.4 Runtime, installed Firefox 1.0 and now it works. Somebody explain that to me?
The wait is over: version 1.0 is there. Rediscover the web, as they claim themselves. I use Firefox since 0.8, and for me it’s there to stay. I only use IE for ignorant sites that don’t comply to standards and use specific IE-features so that browsers without it can’t use the site. Postbank online (telebanking) is one of them. You just cannot login with Firefox (perhaps with 1.0 you can).
Download Firefox for Windows here or go here if you don’t have Windows.
Tomorrow is the day we’ve been waiting for…
