Because I saw a lot of references to Firefox 2.0 lately, I decided to check it out. The current state is that Mozilla release RC3 of version 2.0, so a production version is around the corner.
I installed RC3, and one of the most notable things was the speed the pages are displayed. It’s a lot faster than 1.5.0.7 I had. Most plug-ins I use still work. A very welcome change is the close-button on every tab, like Opera has. It’s a shame it still does not have mouse-gestures.
I have to check whether this version works with JInitiator (Oracle Forms Java applet), since the only way to get that beast to work with 1.5.0.6 and 1.5.0.7 is to disable Java. Duh?
