My father recently switched from having a Nokia cellphone to a Sony-Ericsson. I’m thinking of buying a new phone myself, since my current Nokia (6310i) does not reliably communicate with my (Nokia) blue-tooth carkit. I get a reliable connection about 40-50% of the time. Unacceptable. Nokia phones are not cheap, certainly not when you compare them to similar phones like Sony-Ericsson. Nokia offers less for more money, and we customers like it the other way around.
So I took my fathers phone (a W810i) and walked to my car. I put the key in the ignition and turned the car “on”. In the phones menu I enabled blue-tooth and looked for available devices. It found the Nokia carkit without any trouble and after supplying the connection-code (just 0000) I made a call over the Nokia carkit. Excellent. Next phone: no more Nokia.
